I cut off most of the external straps - chest strap, gone, useless waist straps, gone, side compression, don't need it, and I also cut away the parts of the daisy chain that are involved with the pole holders and the under-bag lash straps. +12

Our Best Buy winner is lightweight and packed with great features, minus a proper hipbelt. I know better - I sold a very excellent Mission Workshop bag because it was too heavy and sat poorly on my lady-shoulders/boobs.
